Dear Member, 24th April 2024
AUTUMN INTERNATIONAL TICKETS FOR TWICKENHAM.
York RUFC is committed to promoting rugby by allowing members to access international tickets. The Rugby Football Union (“RFU”) distributes tickets for internationals at Twickenham only through voting member rugby clubs and club members are invited to apply for tickets for their personal use.
Process
Details of England match tickets available, dates and prices are shown on the attached flyer. Under this process, York RUFC has been allocated 42 tickets for each match. All U16s must be accompanied by adults.
Interested members are required to reply to the ticket secretary as per the attached form,to confirm and that they wish to apply for tickets before 25TH May 2024.
The Ticket Secretary, in conjunction with the Chairman, will review the list of members to ensure that interested members are fully paid up members of York RUFC
The Ticket Secretary, in conjunction with the York RUFC management committee will then allocate the tickets to members of the club (this will be based on previous tickets received, length of membership, club appearances during the season and hours committed to off the field activities).
Payment will be paid direct to the RFU if your application is successful. And in due course the tickets will be issued on your phone. No need to pay any money to York RUFC.
All tickets are issued subject to the RFU’s ticket terms and conditions which are available at https://www.eticketing.co.uk/rfu/staticpages/termsandconditions.aspx.
In particular, please note that tickets are issued for personal use only and no member may sell, dispose of or advertise for sale their tickets to anyone if they are not required for the member’s personal use. Tickets may not be sold or advertised for sale on sites such as Facebook, Ebay, Viagogo or StubHub. Also do not post pictures of tickets on social media sites as fraudsters have been known to copy these pictures and advertise tickets for sale.
If you are allocated tickets and are unable to attend the match, then tickets must be returned to York RUFC as soon as possible so that they may be reallocated to another club member.
Sanction for Breach of the Ticket Terms and Conditions
If there is a breach of the RFU’s Ticket Terms and Conditions the club may face a sanction such as loss of allocation or loss of access to additional tickets via the Ticket Exchange. If a member who has been allocated tickets uses them in breach of the Ticket Terms and Conditions, they will be subject to a Disciplinary Hearing and sanctions may range from loss of the right to apply for international tickets to removal from member of the club dependent upon the circumstances.
Please retain the used ticket information on your phone for two months after the match
York RUFC hope that you enjoy your day at Twickenham and that you understand the need to explain the points made above.
Yours Sincerely
Brian McClure
International Ticket Secretary
