In the 2018/2019 season, York's 2nd XV will become a Development Squad, with an emphasis on promoting and developing the exceptional young talent in our club.
Captained by Neil McClure, we've already got a strong squad and a tough league season ahead with fixtures against some top 2nd XV teams.
Our 2nd XV had a very strong 2017/18 season and we're looking to build on that success this year, whilst also improving the set-up, professionalism and all round performance of the team.

We're looking for someone to support the Captain with the running of the 2nd XV this season. The role will be whatever you make it, based on the experiences you've had previously, but in summary we're looking for:

Someone with a keen interest in rugby and a passion for development of players.
Someone to help with the match day support of the captain, including support with kit, warm-ups, administration and other tasks.
Attendance at all / most second team matches, home and away (Saturday afternoons).
Input to selection decisions.
Support in player development / coaching.

This is an ideal role for:
Experienced coach / manager within senior, junior or women's rugby.
Retired player looking to get back involved with the club or the game.
Enthusiastic rugby fan or new person to the area looking to contribute to the advancement of the club.
