The York RUFC Extra A's or the 3's, are to become the development side, so helping to bridge the gap between Junior and Senior rugby. The new set up will give players moving from the Colts etc a taste of and for Senior rugby, with some 'old heads' also in the team to give help, support and direction.

As part of this move, the team will be known as York RUFC Gladiators.

Neil McClure (last season's top points scorer for the 1st Team) has stepped up to be the captain and manager of the Gladiators. Coaching will also be handled by a newcomer to the club, Carter Croft, who has many years experience and has just moved to the York area from France.
