A number of fans have brought it to my attention that the referees have received some abuse from the stand in previous weeks. This is not acceptable - a friendly, family, good rugby atmosphere is our goal and this is not in keeping with that. Respect for the referee is one of the basics of rugby which set the game apart from football. Please remember the referee is a volunteer and should be welcomed as such for donating their time to allow the game to happen.
