Another fine morning. After a productive training session the players started with determination against a daunting opposition the boys kept their composure and after a tentative start Tom ran a deserved try into the corner. Nerves calmed the games developed into an outstanding performance with some extremely well worked runs of play saw Pari working his magic on the wing, Tom scoring further tries, Steele with an interception running the length of the pitch, Barney very strong running into the corner.
A stirling effort from the forwards in both matches saw ball turned over time after time, gaining a significant advantage which the backs capitalized on. Oliver yet another big effort rewarded with points on the board. Good passing down the line and great handling by all. What was impressive was the team all working together in an unselfish display of quality rugby. Every single player had a hand in the results.
Doncaster's players, despite everything, put in a strong performance and their team should be proud of how they played under pressure. With positive encouragement they could be very good.
