As Season 2023/24 rapidly draws to a close, it’s that time when we start to look back and congratulate and commiserate.
There’s no doubt that this been an outstanding season in the history of York RUFC – playing at the highest level the club has played at so far; sitting at top of the table for much of the season and the latest news is testament to all the players who have represented the club this season at whatever level they have played.

We have five players in the North East ‘Team of the Year’!
Congratulations go to Will Scholey, Ben Mills, Archie Fothergill, Toby Atkin and Harry Shackleton

Rugby North is a website that concentrates on the clubs in the North East and North West of England created by Mike Brown, match photographer at Billingham RUFC. This season, he has arranged for all clubs to rate players in games. The top rated players in each position then make up the ‘Team of The Year’ for the North East and North West. The two teams will play each other on June 22nd at Manchester Rugby Club. (Details to follow)
