It is with great sadness we report that Eric Daines passed away at home on Monday evening surrounded by his family.

Eric moved to York in the early 1970s and was an avid supporter of York RUFC ever since. More recently, he enjoyed watching his grandsons, Callum and James Simpson playing throughout the Youth section and both make appearances for the 1st team. His other grandson, Luke Robinson works at the club as did his granddaughter, Sophie Robinson for a time.
