What a day Saturday 24th May was for York RUFC.
In a tense final against a determined Cleckheaton team, York managed to take the honours with a 24-19 win. Full match report will follow but tries from Harry Shackleton and Jonty Atkinson along with the trusty kicking boot of Harry sealed the deal.
The Players, Coaches and Committee would like to thank everyone who came to the game and provided a magnificent show of support - it helped everyone in the squad to dig deeper when required and definitely influenced the game.
This is the first time that York have lifted the Yorkshire Cup in their history. Certainly a day to be remembered for a long time.
