The annual rugby club awards night – the Honours Cup Dinner – was held at Clifton Park on Friday. With just shy of 100 players and volunteers in attendance, the night was compered by Master of Ceremonies Kenny Brockless.
The Cavaliers award winners were :
Alan Windass Trophy for Cavs Cav – Hisham Singalaxana
Cavs Player of the Year – Cam Griffin
Fantasy Player of the season - Mark Harris (Fantasy Wooden Spoon - Nick Bradley)
The women’s trophy winners :
Coaches Player of the Year – Beth Glennie
Players Player of the Year – Graciela Davies
Second Team Player of the Year – Jordan Layne
The N.B. Kay cup for the Person Contributing Most on the Field of Play - George Davies.
The N.B Kay Cup for the Most Improved Young Player - Zak Burlingham
The N.B Kay Cup for the Person Contributing Most off the Field - Brian McClure.
The Johnathan Ayres Cup for the Players Player - Eddie Westaby.
The Edward Dickinsen Cup for the team of the year was presented to the 1st XV for their Top 4 position in NE league and on reaching the Yorkshire Cup Final.
Presented at their own celebration evening the Colt award winners were :
Andy Walker Cup for Colt of the year - Will White
Tony Williams Cup for player contributing most on the field of play – Nick Pericleous
