This weekend sees a key match for York 1st XV as they push for an escape from the relegation zone. The new year has seen a turn in performances resulting in some key wins including a fantastic performance two weeks ago at Blaydon where they came back with a 5 point bonus win which was well deserved and pushed them into the play off places. Next stage is to push to get further up the table.

We host Cleckheaton today at Clifton Park, fellow strugglers who are at the bottom of the table, however we must not forget that they managed to take a win from us at their place earlier in the season.

So all to play for in both teams and a great match is in prospect for all spectators.

For the 2nd XV it is a visit to Pontefract for a friendly fixture.

For the Womens team, an away day in Scarborough.
