Many of you will recall that Laz was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award for Yorkshire but had to miss the presentation due to us winning the Yorkshire Cup on the same day...

But.... That win meant that Laz went forward into the finals of the RFU Honda Volunteer of the Year and this weekend is when the winner will be announced.

Laz will be travelling down to London for the awards night on Friday the 8th August where he and his wife Lisa will receive a drinks reception, a tour of the stadium, an evening gala dinner hosted by Sky rugby presenter Alex Payne complete with overnight accommodation.

As you all know Laz is an ever present stalwart at the Club with an attitude of 'how can I help' - an absolute epitome of a true hard working volunteer. We wish him luck in the awards. There will be plenty of other great volunteers there - but to represent Yorkshire is a fantastic achievement in itself.
