Many will have seen the announcement from the RFU delaying the season start by two weeks. This has given the ground staff some valuable time to start the recovery of the pitches from the very dry conditions and for the teams to start their own preparations for the season ahead.
The Senior Men & Women and Colts have had numerous pre season training sessions and the Women had a small friendly at St Johns University. All are eager for the season to start and looking forward to putting some thrilling Rugby on display.
The Men also have a pre season friendly v Wetherby taking place at Clifton Park on Friday 18th September under the floodlights with a 7:30pm kick off. A game under the floodlights is always a fantastic spectacle. Entry will be free and spectators are very welcome to attend.
Throughout the summer we have also been running our Touch and Walking Rugby offerings. If you are interested in taking part in these forms of Rugby you are welcome to attend with Walking on Mondays and Touch on Tuesdays both starting at 6:30pm - Just turn up to take part.
For the Juniors and Minis the season starts this weekend with registration and training. See the relevant age grade pages on the web site for further details.
