York RUFC are delighted to welcome Reece Dean to the club as our new Player/Backs Coach ahead of the upcoming season.

Reece brings a wealth of experience across both codes of rugby, having most recently represented Hull RUFC in rugby union and Goole Vikings RLFC in rugby league.

A product of the Hull FC academy system, Reece went on to enjoy an extensive rugby league career, featuring for Doncaster, Sheffield, Hunslet, Newcastle and Rochdale before making the switch to rugby union.

Reece subsequently spent several seasons with Hull RUFC, making more than 100 appearances in the National Leagues and establishing himself as an experienced and influential figure within the game.

Having already worked with the squad throughout pre-season, Reece has made an immediate impact both on and off the field. His experience, knowledge and leadership will be invaluable as we prepare for the season ahead.

We’re looking forward to seeing Reece take the field at No. 10 while also working with our backs and helping develop the next generation of York players.
