Raising funds for cancer research

First team stalwart Ross White and former player Pat Smith are riding to London raising much needed money for Cancer Research UK. After a long day and nearly 200km and over 9 hours in the saddle they are out of Yorkshire and just south of Nottingham.

If you would like to give some money to speed them down to London click here.

Message from Ross.
Some people may or may not know but my Dad has been battling cancer for the last few years, along with many other people including family and friends, past and present.

We thought it would be good to raise a few pennies to help with the cause. So my friend Pat and I have decided to cycle from our northern roots where we grew up in York, where my Dad and family currently live, to where he grew up as a southerner in Landan. Approximately 260 miles away.

For those of you that know us we've done fairly minimal training for this, both being vertically challenged and some say an impressive combined BMI of over 83..... None of which lend themselves to long distance cycling, so anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone who wants to join in along the way is also more than welcome.

We will be hoping to celebrate our smooth and carefree arrival into London with a few beers in and around the Clapham area on the 15th June, for anyone who is able to make it.

Thanks
Ross & Pat
