The next phase of play illustrated what could happen if the ball got out to the York wings, Harry Dixon took a clearance kick in his own half, he decided to run, jinking his way through the Brods chasers, to set up some good interpassing and attacking play, taking the ball up towards the Brods 22. Brods were determined not lose on their paddock, and put together sustained pressure, the York scrum starting to creak alittle. The referee adjudged a try attempt held up. Neither team controlled the ball, it was scrappy, the highlights being Harry Dixon’s defence, and the York defence and staying power in general. There is a need to add a contolled counter ruck to the York armoury. A good rehersal for next week, lets hope for the same result at Clifton Park.
