INJURY-HIT York RUFC ended their Yorkshire One season with a 15-13 home defeat by Scarborough.
The Clifton Parkers led 8-0 at half-time after a try by Billy Cakaunitabua and a penalty from Paul Williams.
Boro hit back to lead 10-8 and, although Alex Nixon rounded off a fine backs move to score, the visitors scored the winning try in the last minute.
York’s last chance of silverware is in the Yorkshire Shield and they will host either Selby or Bridlington in the quarter-finals after beating Guisborough 40-8 in the last 16.
