New coach Sean Bass steered his York side to a 33-3 victory over Bradford Salem at Clifton Park.
The hosts forged ahead when James Arkle touched down from a loose ball at a line out and Nic Ventress converted.
York increased their lead when winger Sam Arkle took a difficult pass and went over in the corner.
Bradford responded with a penalty, but York closed the first half with an excellent try by Alex Nixon, who rounded off a superb move. Ventress converted for a 19-3 lead.
