A POOR performance at Heath punctured the optimism at York RUFC as they went down 23-16 in Yorkshire One.
After two opening victories, hopes were high that the Clifton Park side would be challenging at the top of the table this season.
However, ill-discipline and awful tackling contributed to the end of their 100 per cent start to the campaign.
There were few positives to take from the game, save for the kicking prowess of fly-half Paul Williams.
Williams has been in superb form with the boot so far and he added try scoring to his repertoire at Heath, with a try, a conversion and three penalties.
To add to York’s woes, winger Ben Hobson suffered a dislocated shoulder in the build up to one of Heath’s tries.
