Looking for rugby where the scoreline doesn’t matter but the laughs do? Welcome to 'the Cavs' - York RUFC’s over-35s, Vets and Social XV. A motley crew of “has-beens and never-weres” who get together to play competitive yet relaxed rugby. Whether training schedules no longer fit, or the body protests a weekly grind, the Cavaliers are here to remind you: rugby can simply be about enjoyment.

What to Expect:
      •     Open to all – The team typically plays vets sides (over-35s), but there’s no age barrier—old, young, rusty, or new; if you’ve got the boots and the will, you’re welcome.
      •     Regular fixtures – Matches are usually about every other week, striking the perfect balance of play and social life.
      •     Local travel – Games are kept local—short trips of around one hour max—so it’s all about the rugby, not the travel stress.
      •     Yearly tour tradition – Whether exploring the UK or heading abroad, the Cavaliers aim for at least one tour every season. Fun, bonding, and laughter guaranteed.
